The Knights Templar were a medieval military order that fought in the Crusades and became very influential and wealthy. They were suppressed by the French king and the pope in the early 14th century and accused of heresy and other crimes. Since then, they have been the subject of many legends, myths, and conspiracy theories. Some of the most popular esoteric theories surrounding the Knights Templar are: They discovered treasure and secret knowledge while digging beneath the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, where they were based for many years. Some of the alleged items they found include the Holy Grail, the Ark of the Covenant, and parts of the True Cross. They were part of a secret society called the Priory of Sion, which claimed to guard the bloodline of Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene. According to this theory, the Templars knew that Jesus and Mary were married and had children, and that their descendants were the rightful rulers of Europe. They cursed the French king and the pope who ordered their arrest and execution, and caused their downfall and the end of their dynasties. The last Grand Master of the Templars, Jacques de Molay, is said to have invoked God’s wrath on his enemies as he was burned at the stake in Paris in 1314. They survived their persecution and went underground, forming new branches and orders in different countries. Some of the groups that claim to be the successors or heirs of the Templars include the Freemasons, the Rosicrucians, and the Illuminati. These are just some of the many esoteric theories that have been proposed about the Knights Templar over the centuries. #knightstemplar #freemasonry #theknightstemplar

Since we last spoke Bob has been digging up more information about Aleister Crowley and his sex magick rituals.  
In this episode we hope to hear about the nexus of Crowley, Jack Parsons and the founder of Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard.

Jack Parsons was one of the founders of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), which later became part of NASA. He was also a pioneer in the development of liquid-fuel and solid-fuel rockets.
Parsons was a devout Thelemite, a new religious movement founded by Aleister Crowley, who was a British mystic and occultist. Parsons joined the Agape Lodge, the Californian branch of Crowley’s Ordo Templi Orientis (O.T.O.), and became its leader in 1942.
Parsons performed various rituals and experiments based on Crowley’s teachings, including the Babalon Working, a series of ceremonies intended to invoke the Thelemic goddess Babalon on Earth. He conducted these rituals with the help of L. Ron Hubbard, who later founded Scientology.
Parsons had a turbulent relationship with Hubbard, who had an affair with Parsons’ girlfriend Sara Northrup. Hubbard and Northrup also defrauded Parsons of his life savings, which led to Parsons resigning from the O.T.O. and suing Hubbard.
Parsons died in 1952 in a mysterious explosion at his home laboratory, which some speculated was caused by sabotage, suicide, or a magical mishap. His death was widely covered by the media, which portrayed him as a mad scientist and a black magician.
These are some of the main links between Aleister Crowley, L. Ron Hubbard, Jack Parsons, and NASA.

Saturnalia: Saturnalia was an ancient Roman festival that honoured the god of agriculture, Saturn. It was celebrated from December 17 to 23, near the winter solstice. During this time, many social norms were reversed, such as slaves being served by their masters, and people wearing colourful clothes instead of togas. Saturnalia also involved feasting, gambling, singing, gift-giving, and decorating homes with greenery12.
Some of these traditions were later adopted by early Christians, who celebrated the birth of Jesus on December 25, the date of the winter solstice on the Julian calendar. For example, the custom of giving candles as gifts may have influenced the use of candles in Christmas decorations, and the practice of hanging wreaths may have originated from the laurel wreaths worn by Saturnalia revellers.
Christmas Trees: According to some sources, the Christmas tree tradition as we know it started in Germany in the 16th century, when devout Christians brought decorated trees into their homes1. Some of these trees were made of wood and had candles and evergreens on them. The evergreens symbolized the victory of life and light over death and darkness, a theme that was also present in ancient pagan winter solstice celebrations.
Santa Claus: Saint Nicholas was a 4th-century saint who was known for his generosity and kindness to the poor and children. He is the patron saint of sailors, merchants, and children. He was celebrated on December 6, his feast day, by giving gifts and helping the needy.
Another possible influence on Santa Claus is the Norse god Odin, who was the ruler of Asgard and the father of the gods. Odin was often depicted as an old man with a long, white beard, who rode a flying horse called Sleipnir, which had eight legs. Odin was also associated with the winter solstice, when he led a hunting party through the skies. During this time, children would leave their boots near the chimney, filled with carrots or straw for Sleipnir, and Odin would reward them with gifts.
A more controversial theory suggests that Santa Claus is also linked to the shamanic traditions of the Siberian and Arctic regions, where the sacred psychedelic source was the red and white amanita muscaria mushroom, also known as “fly agaric”. This mushroom grows in pine and birch woods, and has hallucinogenic effects when consumed. Some scholars claim that the shamans would collect these mushrooms and distribute them as gifts to the locals in late December, entering their homes through the smoke hole. They also argue that the mushroom’s colours inspired the red and white outfit of Santa Claus, and that the reindeer were also influenced by the mushroom, as they are known to eat it and exhibit strange behaviour.
