This week we are joined by Chris Tolworthy, author of ‘Jack Kirby’s History Of The Future: 2026 and the Great Disaster’.
Twelve stories by the man who created the Avengers and inspired Star Wars. Includes a review of lost civilisations going back tens of thousands of years, and new research on Atlantis. The heart of the book is a timeline of the future, focusing on the end of democracy in 2026, and the Great Disaster of 2121. Kirby began predicting the future in 1940, and so far he's never been wrong.
From the back cover:
Jack Kirby wrote stories about the future.
So far, everything he predicted has come true.
This book looks at Kirby’s predictions, and the source of his ideas. It looks at the jewish teaching that civilisation will end around 2100 and that we will see a new heaven and earth around the year 3000. It looks at Kirby’s belief that civilisation runs in roughly ten thousand year cycles. It looks at men and gods, higher dimensions, and Kirby’s view that we know far less than we think we do.
